iron man poopCheck out an awesomely hilarious blooper reel from Avengers: Age of Ultron below and get the “poop” on Iron Man! 😉

“JoBlo posts this latest reel, which should be part of the Avengers: Age of Ultron DVD and Blu-ray that hits shelves next week. It’s between-take banter with the affable cast, and it features a lot of dancing, Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) grabbing their crotches – their own crotches … not each others – laughing, singing, and someone asking RDJ if he’s making a doodie as he tries to make a face for an in-the-Iron-Man-suit facial shot. That looks something like this:

What amazes me, to a certain extent, is how enthusiastic cast members like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans can remain when they are nearly a decade into this mighty Marvel cinematic universe. Yes, yes. I know. They get paid a lot of money to play the larger-than-life superheroes on screen in Marvel’s endeavors. But these videos suggest a real camaraderie behind the scenes as Joss Whedon, his cast, and his crew build massive monoliths for audience consumption. These movies take several months to construct, with cast members bouncing around the globe to get the perfect shots. Avengers: Age of Ultron was a particularly lengthy shoot that took the crew to the UK, South Korea and Italy (to name just a few pit stops).

Some of my favorite scenes in Joss Whedon’s Age of Ultron, though, built off the natural chemistry shared between the actors chosen to play the Avengers on screen. The entire scene of different heroes trying to lift Thor’s hammer at a private party is far more memorable than the large-scale (and no doubt expensive) sequence of Ultron lifting up a chunk of our planet so he can create his own asteroid. And while it’s exciting to see Iron Man clash with Hulk, it’s Downey’s one-liners that sell the scene, not necessarily the special effects.”
