“Get ready to be spoiled Marvel fans and movie goers alike as new details from Avengers: Age Of Ultron have surfaced which includes Iron Man leading the team, new costumes, Vision versus Ultron showdown, and a one member of the group is rumored to die in the movie.
Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a great success as of late with three blockbuster movies (Iron Man 3, Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier), a successful TV series (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), and a new upcoming movie in August (Guardians of the Galaxy). Marvel Studios definitely brought a lot of superhero hype this year, and look to continue that hype when Avengers: Age of Ultron hit cinemas on May 1, 2015.
New details from Avengers: Age of Ultron have surface courtesy of JoBlo. According to the site, the movie hints that Tony Stark a.k.a Iron Man will lead the Avengers in the sequel. With the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. at the hands of HYDRA, it was up to Tony Stark and the rest of the Avengers to watch over the world. Tony Stark will provide a new base of operations; The Avengers tower, new equipment, and a possible “Quinjet” for the team. The new costumes in the Avengers sequel is said to be patterned from “The Ultimates”, the counterpart of the Avengers in the Ultimate Marvel comics. We’ve already seen the new costumes of both Iron Man and Captain America in several leaked photos and bts, so it’s safe to say that it’s time to reveal the rest.
JoBlo reported that Black Widow, Hawkeye and The Hulk will receive new costumes. Black Widow will have 2 batons that have shocking ability as part of her new arsenal, Hawkeye will be rocking a long sleeve jacket that is reminiscent of his comics costume and Hulk will now be wearing “stretchy pants” that grow and shrink with him when he goes back and forth between Banner and Hulk.
Another detail from JoBlo indicates that Vision will have a face-off against the movies main villain Ultron. These two have a long history in the main Marvel comics, and they are about to get it on in the sequel. Vision is played by Paul Bettany, this version is actually Iron Man’s A.I. butler JARVIS and it is reported that Vision is not expected to make his final, full reveal until the third act of the film.
Finally, Hawkeye dies in the Age of Ultron. According to Screen Rant, director Joss Whedon quoted on the matter regarding Jeremy Renner’s character.
“When I actually considered doing Avengers 2, my first question was what can I do that’s new? Because I can’t make it bigger [audience laughs], but I can make it better, so that’s where I’m sort of going with that.”
What Culture has named Hawkeye to be most likely candidate to die in the movie.
“Jeremy Renner has publicly expressed discontent at his treatment and it’s unlikely that his relationship with Marvel Studios is as strong as some of the other actors in the movie, so he could be seen as dispensable. There’s also the fact that Hawkeye is one of the out-gunned human characters who could so easily be taken out by a super-powered robot like Ultron in a single shot, making his death more realistic than characters who are as ridiculously durable as guys like Thor and Hulk.””
