Seriously, how cool must it be to be Robert Downey Jr?
He’s Iron Man, he’s Tony Stark- and now he has the giant “A” from The Avengers in his office!

“This week in “Robert Downey Jr. is incredible” news, the actor received a grand-scale gift from Marvel last week: the 30-foot-tall ‘A’ that was left on the ruins of Stark Enterprises at the end of The Avengers, to signal the coming of the Avengers Tower. RDJ, like many Hollywood actors and actresses, collects set pieces as memoirs from his films. Unlike Ben Affleck, who was told that taking home the Batsuit from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice would cost him $100,000, RDJ was given the set piece without even directly asking for it.
During an interview on BBC Radio 1, the actor dished on his special delivery: “On the last Avengers, there’s this scene where there’s this ‘A’ which is probably 30 feet tall and I’m looking at it, and we’re shooting in England, and I go, ‘I need that in my office in Venice.'” said the actor.
“About two weeks ago, a wheeler showed up, I’m like, ‘What the heck is this doing here?!’ And they go, ‘This is the ‘A’ you asked for.’ And I go, ‘They brought it?!’ So now we have a massive Avengers ‘A’ that will be prominently placed.”
Despite getting the massive letter ‘A,’ the IRL Tony Stark said that he was never allowed to take home the actual Iron Man suit. “That’s a tough commodity, I have some helmets!” he said. Say what? You’re Iron Man, RDJ! You should get to take home all of those suits!”
Now that is one super cool collectible- gives us an idea for something to build for the deck….
