“It happens overnight. That’s what I tell all my moms that I know is that tomorrow it could be your kiddo.”
Nicky Lampman remembers when her son Kiel was diagnosed with a rare form of pediactric cancer.
“He went through a very long and intense protocol to start and did really well. Got a month off of treatment and then found out it had come back so he started a new protocol and he’s gone through it. He had one week left, so they check him all out and found that the treatment stopped working and so now it has gotten to where it’s all over,” she says.
While the Lampman’s search for second opninons they’re looking to make many of Kiel’s wishes come true, including meeting his favorite superhero Iron Man.
“You know he’s got along wish list some little things some big things but he is what we call our little Iron Man. He’s loved Iron Man since he could talk in their big superhero fans,” she says.
“He has one suit that cannot fly and he has an Iron man thing and it’s metal,” Kiel says.
“The biggest thing is we want people to know that you know we’re not giving up on Kiel we will find something for him it’s on the bucket list it’s a wish list,” Kiel’s father Derrick says.
And just because they are looking to make this time special for Kiel, they haven’t stopped looking for possible treatments for him.
“We just want to spend as much time with them as we can make as many happy moments happen because most people get a life time he might not get that life time,” Lampman says.
