Why do other markets get different trailer versions, we wonder.
“A few weeks after the debut of the first official teaser trailer, a new international trailer for Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” has been released.
While Captain America (Chris Evans) and the Avengers continue to act as the world’s evil-combating defense in Marvel’s first Phase Three installment, governmental pressures to regulate superhuman activity create conflict within the alliance, dividing the Avengers into two opposing teams led by Captain America — who’s supporting a system free of government interference — and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) — who’s pushing for government oversight.
Though new footage in the international trailer is minimal, the latest glimpse is re-cut to emphasize Tony Stark’s stance on the superhuman regulation issue and Steve Rogers (aka Captain America) being reprimanded by Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) and Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
Directed by Anthony & Joe Russo and also starring Sebastian Stan, Elizabeth Olsen, Tom Holland, Jeremy Renner, Emily VanCamp and Paul Rudd, “Captain America: Civil War” hits theaters on May 16, 2016.”
