“Way back in the ‘80s, the Transformers were actually in the Marvel Universe. And while Optimus Prime and his Autobots only met Spider-Man once, it’s Prime time to pit one of the greatest Transformers against Marvel’s armored Avenger, Iron Man!
In the newest episode of Super Power Beat Down, Iron Man and a very movie-inspired Optimus Prime end up in a massive battle. You can tell that this is the Michael Bay version of Optimus because he quickly escalates the conflict with ol’ Shell Head. You can skip ahead to watch the fight begin at the 5:23 mark.
For most of the battle, Iron Man is severely overpowered by Optimus. To compensate, Tony Stark called in “Veronica,” his enhanced Iron Man suit that is better known as the Hulkbuster. And it’s not the only ultimate weapon that Stark has lined up, even though he very nearly fall victim to his own creation.
The Super Power Beat Down team has previously released some exceptional fan films, including Batman vs. Darth Vader, Deadpool/Domino vs. The Joker/Harley Quinn, and Spider-Man vs. Darth Maul. But this installment is the very first fully animated episode, courtesy of Saruhan Saral. Super Power Beat Down co-creator Aaron Schoenke directed and edited the video, while Jason Marnocha provided the voices of Iron Man, J.A.R.V.I.S., and Optimus Prime.
